Hope House of Manitowoc County

Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and resources to help families at risk of homelessness move toward self-sufficiency.



Hope House is the shelter program of the Lakeshore Interfaith Hospitality Network of Manitowoc County (LIHN), an affiliate of Family Promise and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In 2010, Hope House served more than 45 families and provided more than 2,000 nights of shelter.



Our Services:

Shelter Program, Bridges Outreach Program and Operation Independence Program.



Our Work:

Develop individualized plans to identify and address any barriers that may be getting in the way of living independently.



Link guests to community agencies that will assist them as they move toward self-sufficiency once again.



Assist families in establishing safe, stable housing arrangements.



Help families in locating and securing suitable employment.



Work with families in identifying problems related to financial management.



Provide life skills training to better equip families for successful independent living.



Supply resources to complete basic GED/HSED education.
