Transitional Housing
The Transitional Living Program (TLP) is an independent living program for homeless single or parenting individuals, ages 18-21 and 16-17 emancipated youth. Northwest Youth Services provides homeless youth with an apartment, case management, life skills classes and supportive services.
You may share an apartment or house with someone of the same gender.
30% of your monthly income is held in a NWYS savings account for you.
No drugs or alcohol are allowed in the apartment.
You work with a case manager to set goals and make progress towards your goals.
You will receive a mental health assessment, see a medical doctor, conduct a UA and engage in community services activities.
Permanent Housing
The Permanent Housing Program is for homeless single or parenting individuals ages 18-24. NWYS assists homeless youth in finding an affordable place to live while providing case management and supportive services.
You sign your own lease.
We help you find a place in your price range or can find one on your own.
You work with a case manager to help you understand your lease and housing options.
Can be with a roommate or by yourself.
Can be a studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, etc. It's up to you and your budget.
