Mercy House is not a "cookie-cutter" organization. Each family and individual has different needs and we strive to meet the families at their needs holistically. Each individual completes a service strategy plan. We look at the areas of education, job skills, life resources, personal hygiene, emotional health, physical and dental health, social relationships, childcare needs, spiritual needs, time management, legal issues and diversity abilities. Residents set goals in each of these areas as needed and along with their case manager, set priorities and make a plan for those goals to be met.We also administer the following programs: HIP (Homeless Intervention Program)VIDA (Savings program)Angelfood Ministries distribution point

Mercy House only serves families with children (under 18) in their custody.
 
Application Process
 1.  Applicants must call for a initial application/screening, 540-271-1701
 2.  Long Interview Our caseworker will set you up for a time to come to the office and talk about basic history, living arrangements, work, goals, and current situation.
 3.  After long interview applications are reviewed weekly. You will be notified within one week of your interview of your status. You will then either be given immediate housing (if available) or placed on a waiting list until there is an opening.
 
**Anyone who has lived at Mercy House in the past, must wait 3 months from their exit date before re-applying for housing.**
