We provide overnight stays, showers,breakfast and dinner to persons passing thru our area. We h no provisions for long term stays. We also have clothing available and will wash clothing of our guest if they need it.

We have 10 bed men's dorm and 2 private rooms for women and children we have staff in residence 24/7.

We operate solely on donation. The city of Van Horn and the County of Culberson. Walk-ins accepted, Call for information. No drinking, drugs or weapons. Bagage checked at door.

If you have stayed in this shelter, how was your stay?

  1. These folks were very kind. Our stay there was very comforting in our time of need. Wayne and Rosie are great people that are a pleasure to be around. There are rules and they are strictly followed. We never felt looked down upon. Just a couple needing a helping hand. And we found it there. Since our stay there, about 14 months ago, my then, fiancé and I got married. We are doing well and have planted out roots in Missouri with a beautiful home and our church is right next door. Thank you all so much for helping us. We are forever grateful! Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

    My brother was recently there until I was able to make the drive to come get him. He said it was a safe place and the people were very nice to him. I’m so thankful he had this place to stay at until I got there.
