Alpha Omega Veterans Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee that assists military veterans to reintegrate into society, often after achieving recovery and rehabilitation from chronic homelessness and debilitating mental and physical conditions. We were one of the first independent non-profit organizations in the United States that specialized in providing housing and other supportive services to military veterans.

Initially serving 8 veterans, Alpha Omega now has the capacity to house over 100 veterans (male and female) and provide counseling services to many more. We have served nearly 10,000 veterans since those humble beginnings. Today, Alpha Omega provides each veteran with a 30-day to 2-year program with a goal of having them successfully rejoin society, engage in healthy independent living, and secure placement into permanent housing. Each program has an integrated system of services including food, clothing, housing, transportation and assistance with rehabilitation that have been designed to meet the needs of our veterans.

During the course of their program, every veteran receives intensive counseling on both an individual and group basis to deal with combat/service-related conditions such as anger management, substance abuse, combat stress, PTSD and other mental health disorders.

Tags Donations Needed: - Basic Kitchen/Food Items: coffee, sugar, flour, noodles, rice, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soups, aluminum foil, paper cups and napkins. - Cleaning Supplies: disposable gloves, bleach, pine sol, Lysol, garbage bags (all sizes), laundry detergent. - Personal Hygiene Items: pillows, pillow cases, shaving cream, razors, wash clothes, brushes, sheets (twin and double), deodorant and facial tissue. Volunteers Needed: Yes, we are always in need of volunteers to help clean the grounds at our facilities, holding donation drives for basic household goods and hosting occasional special meals for our clients.
