Palladia, Inc - 126th St Shelter

This place is Terrible, I’m writing this April of 2023 and let me tell you , there’s 2 buildings to this shelter. 31 west 126th street & 35 west 126th street. There are both the same shelter & are supposedly Separated by working and non working residents. This place currently a female shelter.

This is not meant to be a permanent home. It’s not running as its purpose, either. It’s not supposed to be Unsafe for clients why the unprofessional staff adds more stress and they put events together for distraction against housing dragging the process to stay longer than necessary, if any. Beware the mental abuse from staff is on high. They make an excuse to not Transfer clients since Beds are always available they confessed. Homeless shelter on 35 W 126 St needs to shutdown

I hate it here. they are prolonging my stay. Their housing specialist and case manager are terrible.

I was there in for 6 months and used to be an all men's shelter for working and non working residents. They sent me to a house built in 1901 for which I have resided since 2012. Filled roaches in bathroom, bitten up by bed begs in more than one occasion and my 8 by 8 room lacks ventilation. The shelter rushed me out of their 126th street place with no other choice available.

After observing for 6 months, No it’s not safe. Mixed of clients between mental financial hardship and criminals who bring weapons and staff included who are highly unprofessional abusive. Then there are clients with health at risk
