Open Arms Men's Shelter

Open Arms provides a full range of shelter and rehabilitative services for up to 38 single, homeless men 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The shelter also operates an Emergency Center where individuals who would otherwise have to spend their nights on the streets can receive emergency overnight shelter and meals. The Emergency Center assists an average of 30 clients each night throughout the year. Open Arms was established in 1989.

Open Arms serves homeless, single adult males in need of temporary housing. 85% of its clients are referred through the Department of Social services (DSS).
Many of the residents suffer from substance abuse or mental illness, HIV/AIDS, or have co-occurring disorders. Some are just out of prison on parole

  1. Be wary of what you say and do. The staff here seem to be a little lacking in how to deal with homeless people.
