Other Services
RESIDENTIAL HALFWAY HOUSES - Eva's provides Halfway House Treatment for men and women. There are 86 beds available for men and 36 beds for women. Staffed by certified alcohol and drug counselors, Eva's offers a three-phase program for up to 12 months. Services include comprehensive assessment, group and individual counseling, intensive education about addiction, job training, family support, and on-site 12-step programs. After the initial orientation phase, all participants must be employed and establish savings accounts. The treatment supports the transition from addiction to a life of dignity and independence.
Kitchen: Eva's Kitchen serves a hot lunch to 350 people 365 days a year. All who come are fed. Guests dining at Eva's Kitchen are not made to stand in a "chow line," but are seated at tables and served with dignity and respect by volunteers. During the extreme cold of winter and the summer months of July and August, the numbers needing a meal increase and another partial seating is added. There are additional seatings on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
