We also offer an internship program for those who are unemployed so that they learn hands-on job skills right here at the shelter, including cooking, cleaning, front desk management and more.

Permanent Housing
Gateway180 provides follow-up case management and support services to families in permanent housing through YEHS (Youth Education and Health in Soulard). These units are site-based Section 8, meaning the private landlord receives government subsidies in exchange for providing affordable housing for our low-income families. Each month, the families participate in support group sessions and case management meetings.

Gateway180 works with a wide network of partners and resources to end the cycle of homelessness in St. Louis.
