The District Exchange & Food Pantry was founded in 1992 and has operated as a cooperative venture in collaboration with area towns, churches, and a group of dedicated volunteers. It resells clothing and that, in turn, supports the Food Pantry which supplies food to people in crisis. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation as of 2013. Financial donations may be left at Northeast Bank (11 Main Street, Bethel) or mailed to PO Box 232, Bethel, ME 04217, payable to the District Exchange.
The District Exchange is a thrift shop for clothes in wearable condition. Clothing donations are gratefully accepted.  Bring them during hours that the exchange is open or drop off at Northeast Bank, 11 Main Street, Bethel.  Please only bring clothing for the current season.
