We are a 100+ bed facility housing homeless men in Baltimore County. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure place for men to come too terms with their present situation and provide resources that will enable them to become self sufficient.

We are operated by Community Assistance Network, Inc a 501(c)3 organization, a member agency of Community Action Partnership.

Case Management
Case managers deliver one-on-one counseling and programming to build life skills, cultivate job readiness and improve financial literacy.

Rapid Re-Housing Programs
Rapid re-housing specialists ensure that guests are able to live independently before finding them permanent, secure housing. In the last year, over 150 individuals were housed through the Rapid Re-Housing Program.

Aftercare Coordination
Aftercare Coordinators act as a resource navigator and community advocate for guests as they exit the shelter by working with the Rapid Re-Housing Program, CAN's Community Outreach Program, along with community partners, to ensure that shelter guests receive all inclusive community-based supportive services to help move them toward self-sufficiency.

Samaritan Housing
The Samaritan Housing Initiative Program is a federally (HUD) funded housing project. To support HUD's goal of improving housing accessibility for persons with disabilities, the project houses chronically homeless men and women in Baltimore County who have been diagnosed with a disabling condition.

the dorms and bedding are nice. unfortunately most of the formally homeless residents are thief's. You must sleep with your valuables and money or it will get stolen. The staff are not paid well so they do very little to the homeless get back on their feet. also if you are suspected of being high or drunk make you sleep on the floor in the cafeteria under very bright lights or make you leave for 3 or 4 days in other words make you homeless again and the do not need proof that you are intoxicated. a staff member mat not like you and punish you for their entertainment. most of the staff are drug addicts themselves. its a place to stay, but staff has

Terrible experience. Once my 90 days was up I requested drug treatment. While waiting on my bed I was abruptly "exited" at 345 in the afternoon , two days before Thanksgiving . Not very compassionate. I was respectful , manerly , and grateful my entire stay and got treated very unfair at my exiting. Alot of behind the scenes stuff went on with donations. Clothing and food . Two deaths were even slid under the radar within 90 days. I'm glad places like this DO exist , but they could use an entire makeover staff wise. Very little compassion , and that is much needed for men in that situation. J.s

I am very very frustrated and mad because my husband was just a resident there and from following the rules of this program he got lost one day and car back late then was told to come back next day then told he couldn’t come back at all, he couldn’t and hasn’t been able to get his clothes or any belongings that he had. The little belongings that he had. It’s impossible to get thru to anyone at this program and now he is in the hospital from having to stay outside from being turned away after he followed the lies of what he was supposed to. Please contact me ASAP please because I’m trying to speak to someone ASAP it’s a very serious important matter

I wish I can read better review of this place from the one has a direct and first hand experience. I do not think he lied about it. People can be more compassionate in dealing with the people who seek the shelter because they have a reason for that. Of course, it is not a glorious job but I always think of Mother Teresa, how she had to endure much more than that. I know it is easy just to criticize. I was wondering if loving and sincere Church can be people, however
