Night of Peace Family Shelter, Inc.

We shelter homeless families with children. To become a guest at Night of Peace, contact the Baltimore County Department of Social Services at 410-853-3000. DSS will process your information and send us a referral. As required by County regulations, all shelter guests can stay for up to 90 days. Night of Peace is available to all current guests from 4pm to 8am. We open all day only during inclement weather conditions. 

We provide year-round emergency shelter, case management, food, and other necessities for homeless families with children while they work to transition into permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

Case Management
When we have received a referral and you have become a guest at Night of Peace, our social worker will assist you through the process of becoming self-sufficient again. This service includes creating your own transitional plan establishing your goals, providing referrals to housing and social services programs, following up with appointments, and other services as needed. 

Meals
We serve nutritious meals for breakfast, dinner, and snack to all guests. We are a proud participant of the Child and Adult Care Food Program. 

Laundry and Shower
Our guests are able to shower and do laundry at the shelter. We provide personal care items and other products needed for this service. 

The Night of Peace Family Shelter, Inc. is a faith community resource serving homeless families in Baltimore County, Maryland.

We provide emergency shelter and transition planning for homeless families for up to four months as they seek to reorganize their lives.

If you have stayed in this shelter, how was your stay?

  1. This shelter does not accurately provide help for the mothers and children, you are not allowed to stay the night if your child isn't with you, they provide breakfast, dinner and a snack after 7pm, you are are not allowed to eat food only the " snacks " they provide which is junk food, the workers could care less about the residents only one good employee there and she works overnights, this place is unsafe and not a place someone should go if seeking true help to get on there feet.
