The Elkridge Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that is completely run by volunteers. The Food Pantry is located at the Good Samaritan Outreach Center in Elkridge. Individuals and families in need will receive non-perishable foods such as rice, potatoes, vegetables, pasta, canned fruit, cereal and others. When available fresh fruits, vegetables and frozen meat will be offered.
The service areas are Elkridge, Jessup, and Hanover. Residents of Elkridge, Hanover or Jessup can use the Food Pantry for as long as they want, as often as they want.
Eligibility:
Proof of residency in Elkridge, Hanover or Jessup - utility bill, driver's license, or some other photo ID that shows your address
Hours of Operation:
Second and Fourth Friday of each month from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

Donations can also be brought to the food pantry on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Small donations can also be dropped off in the donations bin located at Green Valley near the exit, Weiss off Old Waterloo Rd., or Giant on Marshalee Dr.
Most needed items:
Kids snacks (juice boxes/pouches, snack bags of crackers, cookies and chips, single serving cereal)
Deodorant (M/F)
Shampoo
Shaving cream
Ketchup
Mustard
Mayonnaise
Broth
Gravy
White rice
Toilet paper
Used plastic/paper grocery bags (no holes please)

Volunteers are needed every second and fourth Friday of each month to help with distribution. Volunteers can expect to sign people in, stock and sort shelves, bag groceries, and help out clients in general.
During the week volunteers:
Volunteers are needed to help on preparations to be open every week. These jobs involve a variety of things, from unpacking and stocking donated food, sorting bread and cleaning, to going to stores and pick up donations.
Spring and Summer Volunteers
During the spring and summer volunteers are needed to help maintain the vegetable garden. Assistance is needed with planting, weeding, watering and harvesting. For more information please contact email elkridgefoodpantryandgarden@gmail.com for more information.
