Family Promise of NKY is a shelter program that assists family units (with at least one child under the age of 18) by providing temporary shelter.
For those eligible, the program provides 3 meals per day, Day Center with access to showers, case management, wi-fi and computer access, transportation assistance.
Program duration: 90 daysMust complete intake assessmentIndividuals 18 and over must pass drug screen and background check.
How long can a family stay in the program?
Families can stay in the program up to 90 days.
How long do families stay at one church or congregation?
Each church rotation is for one week at a time, from Sunday to Sunday.
Can families bring their pets?
Currently, pets are not allowed, but the program works with another agency that can assist families with boarding their pets while they are with Family Promise NKY.
Will children have to transfer schools?
No, children would not have to transfer schools.
The McKinney-Vento Act ensures that children that considered homeless are ensured transportation to and from school free of charge, allowing them to attend the school of their origin (last school they attended when they became homeless)

Does Family Promise of Northern Kentucky work with other service programs to meet the needs of families in the program?
Yes. Family Promise of Northern Kentucky partners with many of the local agencies to provide services for our families.
Our social service partners include:
