LPCS Waiting List
There is a waiting list for Lincoln Park Community Services. Once admitted, there is no time limit for length of stay, as long as an individual is making progress toward their goals and following all rules and requirements.
To join the waiting list for the Interim Housing Community at LPCS individuals must attend our Community Engagement Program (CEP) held on Sunday afternoons. At CEP there are LPCS intake appointments as well as basic services. CEP is held each Sunday at St. Paul's UCC at 645 W. Fullerton beginning at 1:30 pm, except for holidays. Please line up for entry to CEP by the tall black iron gate
The Lincoln Park Community Shelter (LPCS) is comprehensive social service agency serving adult men and women who are experiencing homelessness. Located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, the LPCS has been providing shelter and other basic needs to our homeless neighbors for 25 years. Today, the LPCS provides interim housing, meals, and a targeted array of social services to over 300 people each year.
Interim Housing Community
The Interim Housing Community serves up to 35 guests each night year-round - 24 men and 11 women. In addition to meals and safe living space, the Interim Housing Community provides storage space, showers, and laundry facilities for guests. The average length of stay is three months, although there is no time limit as long as guests are making progress toward their goals. Last year, the LPCS provided safe, structured interim housing and three nutritious meals per day to over 260 guests.
