Emergency shelter stays of up to three months are available to families who must seek safety from their abusers while they develop plans that will lead to violence-free lives. The location of the shelter is confidential for the safety of our clients.
When our modern, 33-bed home is at capacity, we find safe accommodations nearby so survivors can continue to receive services until room becomes available in the shelter.
A Safe Place shelter program is designed to address basic needs and provide professional support to help set goals for the future. Our focus is always on safety and empowerment of our clients.
A stay at A Safe Place allows survivors of domestic abuse to assess the resources and options available for setting up new and safe lives for their families while they begin rebuilding their shattered self images. While residing at the shelter, families receive assistance with referrals, advocacy, safety planning, individual counseling, group support, and case management from a team of professional domestic violence advocates.
