Harvest House Transitional Centers

Harvest House Transitional Centers is a not-for-profit social service provider located in Sarasota, FL. We provide affordable, faith-based, residential drug & alcohol treatment & supportive services, along with permanent supportive and transitional low-income housing for families and individuals whose lives have become unmanageable due to life limiting patterns resulting in homelessness.

Family Haven Emergency Shelter
Emergency shelter is the safety-net that keeps families off the streets. Emergency housing of this type is a vital tool in the fight against homelessness. Harvest Houses Family Haven provides free housing and support services for families who have nowhere safe to sleep. Harvest House provides critical case management services to connect the family to child care, medical care, counseling, job training, and other services that will stabilize families and help them find permanent housing outside the shelter.
Families who are in need of emergency shelter should call 211 for services at the Family Haven.
We are one of the only organizations in Sarasota who purchase run-down apartments and create vibrant, affordable housing specifically for homeless families, and include stability services on-site.

Veteran Transitional Housing
Harvest House offers VETS (Veterans Empowered through Transitional Services) program to adult male veterans who have struggled with emotional trauma and substance abuse after their service causing them to experience homelessness. Housing & treatment is provided to our veterans at no cost.

Freedom Substance Abuse Treatment
Founded in 1992, the FREEDOM program is your first choice for substance abuse treatment in Sarasota offering affordable substance abuse treatment to adults who have struggled with the destructive powers of alcohol and/or drug addiction tools needed to transition out of life limiting patterns and into freedom and stability. We serve citizens of Sarasota and Manatee counties among many other counties across Florida and the US. This program is appropriate for individuals serving probation or drug/alcohol charges. We are partnered with many Judicial Systems to accept individuals court ordered to enter and complete drug or alcohol treatment.
