Lights On is a Detention Ministry/Reentry Program to assist individuals who are released from the Orange County Central Jail between the hours of 10:00 PM and 3:00 AM each night. (The standard and scheduled release time.) The program provides a safe and sober location for both men and women and a place to find resources for safe return home.
We provide food, drinks, clothing, cell phone usage (to contact family and friends to arrange transportation home) and limited bus transportation for those who have no other resource. The program also attempts to assist individuals find other programs that may help them to fulfill the conditions of release and a first step to get their lives back on track.
Each year, the program serves nearly 10,000 newly released inmates.

Person-to-person visit for assessment, discernment and encouragement Financial aid for utilities, medication, household items, etc.
Rent assistance
Temporary housing (motel voucher)
Transportation (bus passes, gasoline)
Clothing and household furnishings
Twinning sharing resources with foreign and domestic conferences
