CHC is a temporary shelter with the objective of assisting each guest in attaining skills required to become self sufficient and independent in the community.  Some of these skills include developing and maintaining healthy relationships, anger management, money management and spiritual development, if requested. When appropriate, guests are referred to support groups for substance abuse.  We believe in the holistic approach of body, mind and spirit in reaching individual goals of personal development.

Guests are required to save a percentage of their income (if any) so as to accumulate enough funds to pay for permanent housing and related expenses.  Move-in assistance, such as donated furniture and household items, is provided.
