The purpose of Casa Youth Shelter is to provide temporary shelter for runaways and youth in crisis.
Casa Youth Shelter provides emergency temporary shelter for youth aged 12-17.
Eligibility:
Youth eligible for short term shelter care include those who have run away from home, are at risk of running away because of abuse or any other reason, or for those who have been kicked out of their homes or are at risk of being kicked out.
Services:
Temporary housing, short term shelter
Three nutritious meals with snacks per day
Basic needs
Hot showers
Clean clothing
Fresh linens for beds
Counseling services
Notes:
Accept residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Residents are often referred or come in on their own
Short term shelter care is available for up to 14 days
A stay extension may be granted to ensure safety and proper care
