A New Leaf's East Valley Men's Center (EVMC) Shelter

The East Valley Men's Center (EVMC) is an emergency shelter for up to 76 homeless men who make the commitment to become self-sufficient and move back into the community. There are 18 transitional housing beds.

EVMC provides:
Food, shelter and basic needs
Training and work assistance
Counseling and educational classes

Residents are prescreened before enrollment and as ked to be candid about the problems that resulted in their homelessness. Once at the facility, staff ensure that each resident comply with established rules. During their stay, all residents must work full time and save 85% of their income.

Do you have any advice for those wanting to stay at this shelter?

  1. Its for mesa residence. If you tell them you are from neighboring cities, you will be referred to that cities shelter list.

  2. Don't bring to much clothes and things and respect others use of bathroom using sink.

    I was screen for this program a while back and had a very difficult time reaching Linda 7:30 8:00 I even went to. Communitybridges I asked them to take .Me there they said o had to go to co.ministry bridges until they could contact them to see if a bed was available they to couldn't reach anyone now they say only mesa residents when I was interviewed I told Linda I was from Phoenix before your. New policy very aggravating
