Our House - Hope for the Working Homeless
Address
302 E Roosevelt Rd
Little Rock, AR - 72206
Shelter is a safe, dormitory-style home for 80 men, women and children. There are two dorms: one for men, and one for women and children. The campus also includes common areas, a dining room, a commercial kitchen, a playground and garden.
Residents can stay up to two years. They are encouraged to stay at least six months to get the full benefits of the programs. Often residents follow a plan of increased privileges and responsibilities by moving into either the Family House or Transitions Programs. Once they leave the campus, Alumni are encouraged to continue using the services through our Homelessness Prevention program called Central Arkansas Stability Family Institute or CAFSI.
The Transitions Program provides housing and supportive services to women with criminal history. Clients live on campus, have access to all Our House programs, and get one-on-one case management specific to the barriers they face as job seekers and members of the community. The main areas of focus are education, money management, clearing background records, job skill, and permanent housing.
This is a men, women, and family shelter. You must be willing and able to work. We have a licensed childcare facility on campus. There is an adult learning center as well. Residents can stay up to 2 years or until they have saved 10,000 dollars.
