Arlington Food Assistance Center provides supplemental nutritional food to low-income individuals and families in need. The goal is that every individual gets gallon of 1% milk one dozen eggs, one serving of protein (choice of chicken, fish, or hot dogs), one portion of fresh fruit, two portions of fresh vegetables, choice of cereal or oatmeal, choice of canned goods, choice of dry goods: rice, pasta, or dry beans, bread, and baked goods.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30a.m. to 2:00p.m.
- Saturday morning: 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.
Eligibility:
- Contact the Arlington County Social Service Agency to get a referral. Call 703-228-1300 and an intake worker will enroll you in the AFAC grocery program.
- Individuals older than 60 years old should call the Department of Human Services, Arlington Area Agency on Aging at 703-225-1700 to get a referral.
- Photo ID (for example: Drivers License, Passport, Arlington Public School ID, others).
- Proof of address in Arlington (for example: ID card with current address, lease or utility bill, letter from Arlington public school, bank statement, others).
