Provides food pantry, emergency prescription, utility assistance (sometimes) and emergency motel placements (in case of fire) when funding is available. Some clothing is also available.

Also provides a Thanksgiving food program and Christmas food and gift programs.

    Twelve years ago my business was failing and I had no money coming in. I went to a food bank in Plainfield NJ where I was welcomed with open arms and a huge basket of food...and then a circle of prayer. My business survived and is flourishing today but I often think of the South Plainfield Social Services Food Pantry and I am very pleased that I can make this donation for Thanksgiving dinner. I want to give something back.......
