We provide emergency food assistance to people in McLeod County.
Hunger manifests itself in many ways other than starvation and famine. Most poor people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness.
The mission of the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf is to provide access to nutritious, culturally specific foods to serve the changing needs in our communities.
We do this through partnerships that:Maximize the sharing of food, resources, and systems support
Promote quality standards
Educate and advocate for the eradication of hunger
