Brownfield Food Pantry is a food pantry. We serve people below 150% of the Federal Poverty Line or those that have a family emergency that prevent them from meeting their nutritional needs. Typical emergencies are home burns down, domestic abuse, sudden unemployment, family's car brakes down and all of the food money went to the repair. Over the years 99% of those that we serve are well below 150% of the poverty line. We serve people in need in Southwest Oxford County, Maine: Albany Township, the Towns of: Brownfield, Denmark, Fryeburg, Hiram, Lovell, Porter, Stoneham, Stow and Sweden in Maine and Chatham in New Hampshire. We turn no one away, and will help people in need from outside our boundaries the first time, if we have the food on hand to do it, and refer them to a Food Pantry in their local area for next month.
