The Bowie Food Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund provides food free of charge to individuals in need that reside in Prince George's County. Also, financial assistance is provided to residents of the City of Bowie. The Bowie Food Pantry is located in the building behind the Kenhill Center.Please drive around to the back of the property and enter through the blue building.
Bags distributed will have: 4 cans soup, 2 cans beans (i.e. pork & beans, baked beans, kidney, chick peas, black beans), 4 cans vegetables, 1 tomato product (paste, sauce, diced, stewed), 1 spaghetti sauce, 1 can pasta (beefaroni, spaghettios), 2 canned fruit/applesauce, 1 peanut butter or jelly, 1 condiment (i.e. ketchup, mustard, dressing, pickles), 4 canned meats (i.e. beef stew, chicken breast , meat, chili, hams, corned beef hash), 2 cans tuna fish, 1 other canned fish (salmon, crabmeat, clams), 1 box macaroni & cheese, 1 box pasta/spaghetti, 2 dry items (i.e. potatoes, rice, pasta salad), 1 cereal/oatmeal, 4 granola bars, 1 dessert, 2 rolls of toilet paper, juice.
If available, personal care items (regular and travel size), household cleaning products, paper products, laundry detergent, diapers, baby formula/food, Depends, will also be distributed.
Food Distribution:
Food can be picked up on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. Individuals must drive up, wear a mask, check in and have the trunk open for volunteer to load groceries. Individuals must have an appointment on their first visit.
