For Over 25 Years, The Pip Shelter Has Been Serving The Needs Of The Homeless, Poor, Substance Abusers And Mentally Ill The Disenfranchised Who Are Left Out Of Traditional Programs. It Is The Philosophy Of The Pip Shelter That Every Human Being Has Worth And Is Worthy Of Being Accorded Dignity And Respect, And Given Every Opportunity To Succeed In Life To The Best Of Their Ability. Begun In 1975 As An Overnight Shelter For The Chronic Public Inebriate, The Pip Shelter Now Offers Services That Range From Survival Services (Overnight Beds, Meals, Clothing) For Those In Need To Cooperative Supportive Housing For Recovering Individuals, With The Goal Of Offering A Full Continuum Of Services To This Often Forgotten And Overlooked Population. Our Ultimate Goal Is To Eliminate Homelessness And Offer Every Homeless Person The Services They Need To Become Contributing Members Of Society.
