Individuals or families may receive a week's worth of groceries up to three times in a six month period.
Please bring the following with you in order to receive assistance from the Food Bank:
Driver's license or other photo ID;
Social Security Card for all adults in your household;
Through the BUURR program, BFCO provides partial assistance with rent and utility bills. Appointments are held Monday afternoons from Noon 2 PM. Schedule an appointment by calling the phone number below.
Frank Gailey Transient and Emergency Assistance Fund
The Gailey Fund offers assistance to travellers and community members in crisis situations. Voucher-based services potentially available include lodging, food, and/or transportation assistance. Being a donations-based fund, there is no guarantee that services will be available.
Primarily geared for one-time-only assistance to provide the client/s with time to muster resources to address the crisis, the program has a firm six-month wait policy. Individuals and households must wait at least six months before receiving assistance again.
How to access the Gailey Fund in an Emergency
Gailey Fund resources are accessed ONLY through trained agents at participating organizations. Not everyone at these locations will be able to help with your request.

Lodging and Transportation vouchers require a stamp from the Berea Police Department prior to 5:00 PM. After hours and on weekends, limited emergency-only assistance is available through the police department.
Berea Police can be reached by calling the non-emergency number: 859-986-8456, or by using the direct line phone beside the police department window inside the entrance to City Hall (212 Chestnut Street) on the parking lot side of the building when calling 911 is not appropriate for your situation.
