Community Action Program Of Evansville and Vanderburgh County

Office hours: 1:00 PM 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The Emergency Need Pantry provides non-perishable staple food items for families in need. Diapers and formula are also available when funding permits. Call 812-425-4241 to be certain that needed items are available.

Program participants in past program year: 4,943 households

Goal:
To provide non-perishable, staple food items to customers in need of food.

Services provided:
Moderate provisions of non-perishable foods on a monthly basis.

Customers may also inquire regarding the availability of infant food and formula.

What the program can/cannot do:
Program can provide 1-2 days basic provisions no more than one time per month.

Program cannot provide large quantities of food to last more than 1-2 days.

Program cannot provide money for the purchase of food.

Who is eligible:
Households which require 1-2 days of staple foods in emergency situations.

Information/documentation required for application:
Social Security cards or positive identification for all household members.

The Administrative Office in Vanderburgh County can provide information regarding food banks located in Evansville.
