Food - Bloomington Township maintains a food pantry for township residents. Households may pick up food every seven (7) days.

Must be a resident
Meet income guidelines
Must be emergency situation
required to apply for other public assistance programs
Must be seeking full time or working full time or medically exempt from working.

Other assistance provided:
Housing - Shelter will be provided in the most economical and practical way, usually by issuing a purchase order for rent. Emergency housing may be provided for a limited time.

Utilities - To prevent loss of service, the trustee will provide purchase orders for essential utilities such as water, gas and electric. The trustee may also pay for wood, coal, propane or fuel oil.

Medical - Expenses the trustee may assist with include: prescriptions, insulin and emergency dental care.

Transportation - Transportation may be provided for employment or medical purposes. Traveler's aid may be provided to non-residents seeking to return to their legal residence.

Funerals - The trustee may provide mortuary and cremation or burial expenses if no other resources are available.
