Allentown Rescue Missions Emergency Shelter
Description: Not Just a Bed and a Meal... A Chance for a New Beginning.

Our Gateway Center (emergency shelter) is the most
basic of our programs and is often the entry-point into our long-term
programs. Emergency Shelter receives clients - literally - off the
street, who have exhausted all support and typically
have multiple and long-term problems.

DUE TO THE CURRENT PANDEMIC COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS,
THE EMERGENCY SHELTER IS OPEN 24/7. TO RECEIVE SERVICES FROM THE
ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION, CONTACT THE EMERGENCY SHELTER HOTLINE BY
DIALING 211 FROM ANY PHONE.

WHEN YOU HAVE RECEIVED APPROVAL OF YOUR REFERRAL,
COME TO THE ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION/EMERGENCY SHELTER TO RECEIVE OUR
SERVICES. YOU MUST PROVIDE SHELTER STAFF WITH VALID IDENTIFICATION.

The men are encouraged to join a long-term recovery
program to resolve the root causes of their homelessness so they can
end it permanently. They can join one of our long-term programs or be
referred to another agency if needed.

Free services include nutritious meals, personal care items, beds, clothing, shower facilities, and chapel services.

The man I met at the Allentown Rescue Mission will forever be an enormous part of my life. Edwin Ramos the Shelter Manager is the man!!! God picked the right man for the job. Because of him I learned how to love myself again enough to get my act together.

The Allentown Rescue Mission is a place where I do believe you can get your life together. The Shelter Manager (Edwin) has a tremendous story which lit something inside my soul. I was not a believer but the experience there has completely transformed my out look. Thank you Allentown Rescue Mission.
