St. Vincent De Paul Mission of Waterbury - Shelter
Address
114 Benedict St
Waterbury, CT - 06706
Our Homeless Shelter is the largest in CT and provides men, women and families with a secure sleeping environment seven nights a week. The facility is open to families on a 24 hour basis. Guests staying at the Shelter receive a shower, breakfast and dinner, clothing vouchers to the St Vincent DePaul Thrift Store and lunch at the St Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen. Four full-time case managers assist the guests with employment and apartment searches. Guests are also referred to addiction or health clinics at the Shelter guest's request. The facility is also available to the greater Waterbury area in case of a local disaster.
We continue to strive for the safest environment possible for all of our guests and staff. Those individuals who display unacceptable, violent, threatening or abusive behavior towards other clients or staff are asked to leave the Shelter immediately. Dismissal for these offenses can be with or without warning and with or without the police being involved, depending on the situation.
